| Charging LED |
| The charging LED will let you see if the
batteries are being charged, and will also help to avoid overcharging when
using our bank side charger. It is handy to actually see when the batteries are being charged, you may have forgot to switch on the mains or connect the batteries. When charging from the mains the charging LED will also give you an indication to the brightness of the charging LED when the batteries are fully charged this is helpful indication when you are using the bank side charger at the bank. The reason we use 6v for powering the Stealth is that when using a 12v bait boat you CAN NOT charge the batteries fully at the bank side using another 12v battery. 12v is not enough to charge another 12v battery. If you have been fishing for a few days then the 12v battery you are trying to charge from may have dropped to around 10v, this means your 12v bait boat can only be topped up to around 10v. Another problem being that a 12v bait boat when it starts to run down will run down a lot faster then a 6v system. With the Stealth baitboat you could overcharge the 6v batteries if you left them on for a very long time, the charging LED will give you warning of this. However this would take quite a long time and if you follow the instructions that come with our bank side charger this should not be a problem - try not to fall asleep for 24 hours. There is a video of the charging LED working under the Video link above. |
